Instructions
Please submit a one page essay to connect@morganpommells.com describing how these funds will support your business goals and your well-being as a therapist. Please include your positionally within the BIPOC diaspora, as well as documentation of official enrolment or graduation of a qualified counselling program. If you are selected, you will be notified within 3 weeks of applying. If you are successful, you will be asked to author a business plan (template to be provided) for collaborative review as part of the grant process.
Are you a new or soon-to-be private practice therapist in need of business support?
The business grant program is designed to support BIPOC graduates and new private practitioners with the start up costs of establishing their own therapy practice. The grant criteria is as follows:
(1) You must be a recent graduate of a counselling program (within the past two years) OR currently in the final year of your counselling program OR an already practicing therapist leaving community practice to establish a private practice for the first time.
(2) You must be Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person
of Color.
(3) You must be a registrant, student registrant, or will soon qualify for registration as a Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist, or Registered Psychologist in your respective province.
Grant Details
- $2000 to use towards start up costs such as as professional headshots, website design, EHR software, registration fees, etc.
- Access to a customized bookkeeping and accounting course for health professionals
- 2 One hour business coaching sessions with Morgan
